Passport Stages current offering, LUV, a ridiculous comedy of alienation, desperation and the absurdity of it all -- and Tony Award-winning best-written play in 1965, casts Gary Jader, Annette Kurek and Michael Oslund as seniors searching for love in all the wrong places involved in an absurd love triangle.
Luv will tour three area theatres in November and December, F. K. Weyerhaeuser Auditorium at Landmark Center, Nov. 1 - 17, Zephyr Theatre in Stillwater, Nov. 22 - Dec. 1, and Elision Playhouse in Crystal, Dec. 6 - 15.
Passport Stages was created to provide an artistic outlet and entertainment source for seniors and their families. Our theatrical goal is to provide varied theatrical experiences, focused on themes appealing to senior citizens and their families.
We aspire to become the leading source of live theater for and by seniors, performing comedies, musical variety shows, dramas, and murder-mystery dinner theater, at venues convenient to our patrons.
Passport Stages offers opportunities for seniors to explore their creative side, whether on-stage or behind the curtain, for the purpose of presenting quality live theater.
By showing seniors actively participating in a theater venture, we dispel the myths of aging to bring a positive image of older adults for the general population. It is our vision that the Passport Stages can create a community and offer our senior citizens the benefit of a health and wellness program, under the guise of performing arts, while they’re enjoying the social interaction.
